[accordion-item title=”How Many Treatments are Needed to achieve the results I want and how often should I repeat the treatments?” state=closed tag=”h4″ ]
Most people who choose to have Lipo-Cavitation see measurable reductions in fat within the first week. However, a treatment schedule of 10 to 20 weekly sessions is typical to achieve desired weight loss and body composition changes, according to a study in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery.
Before your first treatment, you will meet with your aesthetic practitioner for a consultation. In most cases, the ideal candidate for Lipo-Cavitation is someone who is at least moderately active and follows a healthy diet. Lipo-Cavitation is not intended to treat morbid obesity nor should be intended for weight loss, but works most effectively to remove unwanted fat from targeted areas of the body. If you are a good candidate for Lipo-Cavitation, your aesthetic practitioner doctor will discuss your goals and desired body image, and then establish a treatment plan to meet your needs.
Please bear in mind that any Lipo-Cavitation treatment has to be combined with a healthy diet and constant exercise to be effective and bring long-lasting results.
Ultrasound Cavitation: 6-10 sessions spaced 7 days apart for the first 3 sessions, then once every fortnight.
Skin Tightening: 6-10 sessions spaced 7 days apart for the first 3 sessions, then once every fortnight.
You should begin to see significant ‘results’ from the third session onwards. The body takes about 72 hours to eliminate the fat from each session.
After the initial treatments are completed, maintenance treatments consist of one session each month for 4 months followed by one treatment every 4 months.

[accordion-item title=”What Areas of the Body Can be Treated?” state=closed tag=”h4″ ]
Lipo-Cavitation is similar to liposuction in terms of the areas of the body where it can be used. The most common areas of the body, where Lipo-Cavitation is used, include the abdomen, face, neck, back, cheeks, thighs, chin, hips, upper arms and buttocks. It has also been used to reduce excess breast tissue in overweight men.

[accordion-item title=”What to do Before and After Treatment?” tag=”h4″ state=closed]
Before Lipo-Cavitation, you should already be moderately active and eat a healthy diet. In the week before a treatment session, most aesthetic clinics will recommend that you drink about 8 cups of water daily, avoid alcohol, and tanning. And it’s important to follow these recommendations.
Drink plenty of water. Drinking water is a necessary part of the treatment to facilitate the elimination of the broken down fat. Maintain a low-calorie diet for a few days after the treatment to ensure that the energy released by the treatment is properly utilised and metabolised by the body. After the treatment patients are able to return to their daily activities as usual.
Adequate fluids are needed to help your body process the excess fat and triglycerides that will be released as a result of the procedure. Too much alcohol will limit liver function needed to process these substances. And tanning prior to a treatment can make your skin ultra-sensitive to the ultrasonic waves used in the treatment.
Try to avoid doing anything that will irritate your skin immediately before treatment. This includes tanning (natural or artificial). It would be more likely to suffer pain from the addition of heat to the already damaged skin; however, an established tan would be fine.
Do not have hot shower, bath or sauna right after the Ultrasound treatment.
We recommend a low-calorie diet with protein in each meal and drink at least a glass of warm water (not carbonated, sugary fizzy drinks, sparkling water, pop, coffee) before and after the session. Drinking plenty of water and having exercise such as brisk walk, biking or other aerobic activities for at least 3 days after the treatment to stimulate the lymphatic activity as the elimination of the fat continues through the Lymphatic System for 72hrs. Keep following a suitable exercise routine. Cavitation will be best performed under high hydration conditions, avoid taking any caffeine or diuretics 2 days before the aesthetic treatment. Drink a lot of water will help you to improve your metabolism and increase urine output — lipid metabolites release out of your body.
A lymph-draining massage is also encouraged to improve the circulation and lymphatic system, which helps you drain fluids.
For best results, you should refrain from any alcohol consumption for 48 hours after the treatment. Alcohol consumption during this period may prevent your liver from removing the deactivated fat cells from your body (as the liver will assign priority to remove the alcohol from your blood).
Maintaining a stress-free lifestyle also helps the body flush out the fat more efficiently.
After treatment, you should continue adequate amounts of water and get regular exercise to help your body process the excess triglycerides and fatty substances released during the procedure.

[accordion-item title=”What are the Side Effects of the Lipo-Cavitation Treatment?” tag=”h4″ state=closed ]
The known side effects of Lipo-Cavitation are minimal, compared to surgical liposuction. For most people, the treatment is painless and doesn’t require any recovery time. You may experience temporary skin sensitivity, mild bruising, fluid build-up, or blisters where the transducer was used.
On rare occasions, there may be a slight possibility of mild side effects such as transient redness, excessive thirst, or nausea immediately after the treatment, which is invariably resolved by drinking water. These are all short-term effects that disappear in a few hours.
A slight increase in triglycerides and cholesterol soon after the treatment can occur if the individual does not engage in constant physical activities and does not follow a balanced diet.

[accordion-item title=”Is Ultrasonic Lipo Cavitation a safe procedure?” tag=”h4″ state=closed ]
Yes, it is a safe, comfortable, and non-invasive procedure with virtually no side effects. It does not require anaesthesia, leaves no scars and does not require any post-treatment. The ultrasound energy is designed to target fatty tissues beneath the skin only and does not affect the blood vessels, nerves and connective tissues.

[accordion-item title=”Is the procedure painful?” tag=”h4″ state=closed ]
No, the treatment is painless. A slight tingling sensation or very slight buzzing in the ear may sometimes be felt during the treatment but this is not uncomfortable. Some heat sensation may also be felt during treatment but no pain. Any slight reddening of the skin, which may sometimes develop during or soon after treatment quickly, disappears.

[accordion-item title=”How long is a treatment session?” tag=”h4″ state=closed]
Treatment times may vary depending on the area being treated but a typical session will last between 45 minutes to an hour. This includes the preparation, treatment and post-treatment procedures.

[accordion-item title=”Does it work on Cellulite?” tag=”h4″ state=closed]
Yes, low-frequency ultrasound (40kHz) generally works well on cellulite by focusing the ‘cavitation effect’ on the superficial fat tissue. Best results are obtained when the ultrasound is applied in conjunction with the ‘radio frequency’ (RF) treatment, which helps to tighten and tone the skin. Cellulite is the appearance of dimpled skin.

[accordion-item title=”What instant result can I expect?” tag=”h4″ state=closed]
The ultrasonic Lipo Cavitation treatment will often yield some immediate results, which you can feel, touch and see and it can be long-lasting. Some clients can experience between 1 to 5 cm of circumference reduction after a single session with increasing results after subsequent visits. However, more significant results will be noticed after the second and third treatment.

[accordion-item title=”What long-term results can I expect with ultrasonic cavitation?” tag=”h4″ state=closed]
You can achieve ‘volume reduction’ of fatty tissues and ‘toning of the body’. The results are gradual over a number of weeks as your body clears the broken down fatty tissues. It is not uncommon to achieve up to 10 cm reduction by the end of the course of treatments. However, it is very easy to deposit fat again into the tissues if one over-eats, consumes too much alcohol or doesn’t exercise. Ultimately the result may vary depending on the individual’s different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medication, and changes in hormones. Also generally the results can be long lasting provided you follow a healthy diet and exercise programme.

[accordion-item title=”Can I lose weight with Ultrasonic Cavitation?” tag=”h4″ state=closed]
Fat Cavitation is not a treatment for obesity nor is it a weight loss procedure. Rather is a method for ‘reshaping’ and ‘toning’ the body in conjunction with physical exercise and a healthy diet. It is particularly intended to reduce localised fat tissues which are resistant to exercise around the abdomen (love handles), buttocks, and thighs (saddle bags), that won’t easily go away by simple dieting and exercise.
Sustainable weight loss can only be achieved through exercise and adopting a healthy diet.

[accordion-item title=”What are the ‘contraindications’ with Ultrasonic Cavitation?” tag=”h4″ state=closed]
Ultrasonic cavitation treatment is not for everybody. Even though it is a safe and painless procedure, nevertheless there are contraindications for using cavitation devices for treatment of localised fat. Such contraindications will depend on the individual’s medical history. Thus people with kidney failure, liver failure, heart disease, carrying a pacemaker, pregnancy, lactation, etc. are not suitable candidates for the cavitation treatment.

[accordion-item title=”Are the results of ultrasonic cavitation similar to liposuction?” tag=”h4″ state=closed]
The ultrasonic cavitation can be considered as a treatment alternative to surgical liposuction. The number of treatments required to achieve similar results to Liposuction are several and have to be combined with a well-balanced diet and regular exercise. Both treatments are designed to reduce fatty tissues. However, Liposuction delivers more dramatic results in one “invasive” session while Ultrasonic Cavitation is non-invasive and requires several treatments.

[accordion-item title=”On which parts of the body is the treatment most beneficial?” tag=”h4″ state=closed]
Thighs (saddle bags), Abdomen (love handles), Hips (flanks), Buttock, Upper arm i.e. the areas of localised fat. However, it cannot be applied to the head, neck, chest, back and over bony areas.
