Upper eyelid tightening also referred as to non Surgical Blepharoplasty.
Upper tightening is one of the best applications of our high Grade Glycolic Acid Chemical peel gel, the XanthRemover. The results you will be able to achieve are quite close to extraordinary and you will be very pleasantly surprised.
You will be will be able to achieve, if not the same, very similar results to expensive laser upper eyelid treatments without the costs of cosmetic clinics, this is our promise.
Our high Grade Glycolic acid gel rejuvenates and tightens your upper eyelids using chemical ablation. Ablation (burn) of the upper eyelids have been adopted for several years using lasers and lately electrical arcing to burn the upper eyelids in a controlled fashion. In turn this controlled burn causes both a skin contraction as well as skin regeneration of the upper eyelids. This porcess is explained in detail later on.
If you have used our XanthRemover for other applications you cannot simply switch the use of this product on the upper eyelid area, this is because the upper eyelid area is one of the most delicate parts of the skin. Therefore you have to go through a slight different type of patch testing to train you up for the use of this product on the upper eyelids, for upper eyelid tightening.
How does it work and why does it work? The ablation principle for Upper eyelid tightening. The principle of Ablation.
For several years this controlled burn on the upper eyelids was carried out using Lasers, then in the early 2000s using electrical arcing , which was then called Plasma for marketing reasons.
It is not rocket science, all it is at work is the principle of Ablation (burn). What happens is that after burning the skin, the new skin generated after healing is usually more contracted than the skin was, previous to the burn. As an example to explain this simple principle, after car accidents where people are affected by deep burns, they require skin grafting because the skin has usually contracted to a large extent due to the burn. In order to achieve skin tightening it does not matter the way the burn is carried out (whether using Lasers, Electrical Arcing or Chemical peel) as long as it is a controlled burn and it is relatively superficial in order to produce the required skin tightening but not causing scar tissue.
In other words High Grade Glycolic Acid peels simply work using the simple but highly effective principle of skin Ablation. In simple terms a controlled skin burn on the upper eyelids causes the skin to tighten or shrink after healing. It does not matter how the controlled burn has been carried out, whether by using lasers, electrical Arcing or chemical ablation as long as a controlled ablation (burn) is carried out, the skin tightening effects will take place anyhow after healing.
This same ablation or burn principle of the upper eyelids for eyelid tightening has been used for several years using lasers and electrical arcing (also called plasma). It does not matter how this controlled skin burn is carried out (by using lasers, Electrical arcing, Chemical peels etc) as long as it is achieved appropriately the results in terms of skin tightening will take place after healing.
For several years eyelid tightening was performed in aesthetic clinics using cosmetic or surgical lasers with great results. Then in late 2000s electrical arcing or so called plasma was brought to the market with great acceptance and success in major cosmetic clinics for upper eyelid tightening. The use of electrical plasma devices made upper eyelid tightening more affordable and widespread in cosmetic clinics. However, the problem remained, this very sought after treatment was very effective but confined to cosmetic clinics. Therefore relatively expensive and not straight forward to have it done. For these reasons not available to the wider public.
This is why the XanthRemover is a game changer product, it brings about the same and many times much better results than you would otherwise get in expensive cosmetic clinics but from the comfort of your own home and for a tiny fraction of the price.
Its unique gel consistency for Efficacy and Safety.
The safety of this magnificent product (the XanthRemover) for upper eyelid tightening is second to none due to its unique very thick honey gel like formulation and it is widely demonstrated by its widespread use on the upper eyelids over the years. This is because it was originally designed to be applied on the upper eyelids.
Our main High Grade Glycolic Acid Gel, the XanthRemover has been used to remove Xanthelasma the wold over since 2013. The XanthRemover in 2013 was thought and designed as a thick gel specifically to be applied on the upper eyelids. Xanthelasma are cholesterol growths on the eyelid area and they also grow on the upper eyelids. This product has been used on the upper eyelids by several thousands of people the world over for several years, with great success and 100% safety. Therefore you can be confident that if you use this product appropriately, even if it is strong, you will be able to do so safely, while achieving extraordinary results on your upper eyelids.
One of the main reasons for its safety is its composition as a very thick gel. Its gel consistency allows you to apply it on the upper eyelids and avoids the formation of dangerous drips that could run into your eyes . Additionally this is the one of the very few high Grade Glycolic acid products in the world that is made in such a thick consistency. It is not a chance that the XanthRemover comes in a thick gel like consistency this is because it is the safest way to apply a high Grade Glycolic acid gel on the upper eyelids.
The results of Upper eyelid tightening are so good that that this treatment is also referred to as non surgical rhinoplasty.
The ablation of the upper eyelids using lasers or electrical arcing achieves very good degree of skin tightening. The cumulative results are so good that this type of procedure had been marketed as non surgical blepharoplasty by several cosmetic clinics around the world. Do a simple google search using the terms “plasma non surgical blepharoplasty” and see the marketing on the internet for yourself. Also see how much cosmetic clinics are charging for a single procedure.
Laser non surgical blepharoplasty or Laser eyelid lift are alternative terms you can look for on the internet and again see for yourself how much cosmetic clinics are charging for it. you will be amazed.
We found that the exact same results, and over time even better, are achieved by using High Grade Glycolic Acid. The post recovery process is very similar. In all cases there is a significant swelling of the upper and sometimes even lower eyelid area, scabbing and eventual tightening after the area has recovered.
The results are so good that this type of treatment was referred to as non surgical blepharoplasty and it had been marketed to doctors with equipment sold at sometimes 30K pounds to perform the types of results you are now able to achieve with the XanthRemover. In the 90s when this treatment was first proposed to the market with the use of lasers the treatments were sold in the region of 600 USD per treatment. Then as lasers become more popular in cosmetic clinics this price declined slightly over the years.
With the XanthRemover you are able to achieve the same and sometimes even better results because you are able to achieve the same ablation effects as you are at cosmetic clinics but from the comfort of your own home and in complete safety.
This will give you an idea of the costs of Eyelid tightening at cosmetic clinics.
Laser Upper eyelid tightening Cost per session 500 USD Number of sessions 3 to 6 to achieve the desired results Total 1500 to 3000 USD
Electric Plasma Upper eyelid tightening Cost per session 300 USD Number of sessions 3 to 5 to achieve the desired results Total 900 to 1600 USD
XanthRemover Upper eyelid tightening Cost per session none USD Number of sessions 3 to 5 to achieve the desired results Total 30 USD
As you can see you will be able to achieve the same and as you will see even better results at a fraction of the price.
What is the difference between High Grade Glycolic Acid and Laser and Electrical Plasma eyelid tightening.
The good news is that in terms of results upper eyelid treatments with high Grade Glycolic Acid Peels will eventually lead to far superior results to those with lasers or Electrical plasma in any expensive cosmetic clinic.
There are several reasons for this:
1. No need for anesthetics. This is because this type of treatment is not painful like the others in cosmetic clinics and so it is very easy to tolerate without the use of any numbing agent. This makes it easier to use than the alternative treatments at cosmetic clinics.
2. Much Simpler to use. All the training you need is in the patch testing procedure, nothing more. Therefore the XanthRemover is much easier to use than the expensive laser and plasma treatments at cosmetic clinics. Laser treatments do require the aesthetic practitioner to undergo several treatments. In several parts of the world for an aesthetic practitioner to be legally operating a laser they require a certified training. This makes the laser treatment one of the most expensive per se. This is not to say that laser treatments are the best for upper eyelid tightening. This means that it is easier for you to apply the product and you do not have to think about various complicated procedures in other to do it correctly. In case of laser treatments this procedure has to be performed by a trained laser aesthetic practitioner. This is expensive, Additionally an eyeball protector is require. With the XanthRemover this is not required at all. On the other hand with electrical arcing the use of topical anesthetic is mandatory and of course performing upper eyelid tightening on your own is almost impossible.
2 You can use the product as many times as you want. Since this is a treatment that you can perform at home and yet having the same ablation results as expensive treatments at home, so you can achieve far better results.
3 You are in control of the intensity of the treatments. It is you and not the aesthetic practitioner to decide what the best intensity of the treatment may be for you. In several cases aesthetic practitioners choose treatment intensities where they maximise the amount they will charge to the customer. The more the number of treatments the higher the bill.
The use of anesthetics for plasma eyelid tightening and laser eyelid tightening is a limiting factor in the use of these techniques. Also these techniques can be mainly reasonably be used at cosmetic clinics

How is it possible to achieve better results with the XanthRemover than those at expensive cosmetic clinics.
The basic principle of ablation that have been used in cosmetic clinics with Lasers and then Electrical Arcing (Plasma) are now used for eyelid tightening using High Grade Glycolic Acid Gels like the XanthRemover.
In case of cosmetic clinics you are not in direct control of the treatment and you are in the hands of the either Doctor of aesthetic practitioner who performs the treatment.
Also you have to pay a substantial fee per treatment as well as taking time to go to the clinic for the treatment. This also will limit the number of treatments you will be willing to go through. In the case of the XanthRemover you are able to use the XanthRemover for this application as many times as you want from the comfort of your home. You are in complete charge of the treatment because you can choose the intensity of the treatment, the intervals between treatments and the number of treatments to achieve the results you desire
In essence you will be able to achieve much better results because you are in control not only on the type of treatment (namely the intensity of the treatment) but also you can apply the XannthRemover as many times as you need at no cost in order to achieve the results you want. This is not entirely possible at cosmetic clinics to the same extent. Both the fact that you can repeat the treatment at no extra cost to you and be in control of the treatment makes this treatment much more viable, sustainable than those expensive treatments at cosmetic clinics.
On the other hand each treatment will cost you dearly at cosmetic clinics to achieve sometimes even inferior results than you rather would at home with the XanthRemover.
The types of results you can expect in terms of eyelid tightening.
Although with our High Grade Glycolic Acid Gel peel you will ultimately achieve better results than tho you could in Cosmetic clinics you should not expect miracles. This is because cosmetic clinics sometimes advertise “miracles” in order to charge high fees. Some Cosmetic clinics have the tendency of exaggerating the type of results thay are going to be able to achieve. In other words they over promise and clinets believe they will achieve results that are not possible in practice. advertising and this is not bad it is good. The only issue is that often they over promise results that are physically not possible with the tools hay have. For several years there has been a tendency of advertising Eyelid tightening with Lasers and Electrical plasma as non surgical blepharoplasty, and in certain cases even explicitly mentioning that these treatments could lead to the same results achievable by conventional surgery.
This is not true of course. What you can expect With lasers , Electrical plasma and High Grade Glycolic Acid is a minor tightening of the upper eyelid and this is dependent on the intensity oif the treatment. The final result is dictated by the cumulative results of a number of treatemnst. So that the imporvement of each treatment add on to the improvement of the next treatment.
As you will see with High Grade Glycolic Acid you will be able to achieve better results than you usually would with Lasers and Electrical plasma. However if you have very drroppy eyelids this treatment (including Laser and Electrical Plasma) will never be the substitute to Surgery
and sometimes they over advertising the type of results they are able to achive with lasers. It is nto uncommon for clinics to adertise laser and plasma eyhelid tighteining as a substiture to blepharoplasty. This is close to false advertiding since therere is no possible way to achive the drammatic results of blepharoplasty on people with excessive upper eyelid skin.
Upper eyelid tightenign is for people who have only minor imperfections an dwould like to achieve great results but theur condition is never dramatic to justyify an invasive procedure like surgery.
Intensity of the upper eyelid tighteing treatment with the XanthRemover.
The intensity of the treatment is directly proportional to the intensity of the Chemical burn (or ablation) that you are performing with the XanthRemover. In order to increase the intensity of the burn (the ablation), in very simple terms all you have to do is increase the application duration of the product on your upper eyelids. The longer you keep the product on the your eyelids the more the burn therefore the higher the intensity of the treatment.
In turn the higher the intensity of the treatment the less applications you will require in order to achieve your desired eyelid tightening. On the other hand the lighter the intensity of the treatment the more applications are required to perform in order to achieve the results you desire.
At the same time please remember that the higher the intensity of the treatment the more the swelling you will experience and the more gruesome the scabbing process too. This is to be taken into account.
When you first use the XanthRemover for eyelid tightening, always start using it with care and only keep the product on for a relative short duration, after all you have a lot of product available there for you and therefore you do not need to act in a hurry to achieve the results you want. Once you used it a couple of times then you can increase the duration of the application depending on your eyelids tolerance to the burn and as well as your tolerance to the swelling and the subsequent scabbing.
Remember to Avoid contact of high Grade Glycolic Acid Gels with the eyes.
Please note that incorrect use or incorrect aftercare use can lead to:
Unnecessary swelling (temporary), discomfort and pain Scarring, Hypo and /or hyperpigementation, Infection and/or delayed healing if the inappropriate aftercare is used, Unexpected downtime, distress due to unexpected downtime.
Swelling of the upper and lower eyelids after use.
The XanthRemover, our flagship High grade Glycolic acid peel has been designed as a thick gel, so that it can be be applied safely on the upper eyelids. Its application on the upper eyelids is its main intended use after all.
Despite its intrinsic safety for the use on the upper eyelids you have to bear in mind that the upper eyelid area is one of the most sensitive and delicate parts of your skin. So you have to use extra care in the patch testing and eventual use of this High Grade Glycolic acid on this area.
When high Grade Glycolic acid peels are used on the upper eyelids one of the normal effects is the swelling of the upper and sometimes also of the lower eyelids. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about. This swelling will subside on its own within a few days.
Achieving the desired Results.
A number of applications are required to achieve the desired results you want in terms of eyelid tightening and rejuvenation is dependent on the way you use the product.

Apply a tiny amount of gel on a small areaupper eyelid. Keep the gel for 2 minutes no longer. Wipe off and rinse with water. Make sure the gel does not get in contact with the eyes.
Day six:
Apply a tiny amount of gel on the other upper eyelid which you have not applied the grl on the previous day. Keep the gel for 5 minutes. Wipe off and rinse with water. Make sure the gel does not get in contact with the eyes. Observe the peeling effects over the next few days.
Day 12:
Apply a the gel on the upper eyelid which you have not applied the gel on day 5. Keep the gel on for 10 minutes. Wipe off and rinse with water. Make sure the gel does not get in contact with the eyes. Observe the peeling effects and possibly the swelling over the next few days
Day 14:
Apply a the gel on the upper eyelid which you have not applied the gel on day 6 provided that there is no ongoing scabbing, swelling or redness. Keep the gel on for 20 minutes. Wipe off and rinse with water. Make sure the gel does not get in contact with the eyes. Observe the the swelling and scabbing over the next few days.
If you notice other undesired effect stop using the product.
The above patch tests will serve for you to get used to the way the Gel works on your upper eyelid area. You should have learned that the longer you keep the gel on the more severe the swelling and the scabbing. In the unlikely event of an adverse reaction of the gel stop using it.
Modality of Application
Wash your hands.
Cleanse and dry thoroughly the upper eyelid area .
Apply the gel on the upper area.
Keep the gel on for as long as you deem necessary to achieve the desired skin peel effects . Remember the longer you keep the gel on your upper eyelid area the more the swelling and downtime you will experience.
Once you are satisfied with the degree of ablation on hyou upper eyelid area, wipe off the Glycolic Acid Gel using a clean make-up cotton pad and rinse with warm water.
All throughout the process remember to avoid all contact with the eyes.
One or two days later you should notice the swelling, peeling and scabbing effect start to take place. This is normal. Let the area recover on its own. The longer the length of application of the high grade glycolic acid gel the less treatments you will require to achieve the desired results however the more severe the swelling and scabbing. Conversely the less you keep the gel on the more applications you will require and less severe the swelling and scabbing.
In most cases, you find noticeable general improvements to your eyelid area after the first full application. The longer you keep the Product on during each application the more the peeling effects. As a consequence the longer you keep your formulation on the less applications are needed to achieve satisfactory results.
Allow a minimum of 4 weeks intervals between applications . In the unlikely event, redness or itchiness are still ongoing after the 4 weeks’ interval wait until the area has returned to normal before reapplying the product. DO NOT USE makeup ON THE AREA YOU HAVE USED THE PRODUCT UNTIL THE PEELING EFFECT IS OVER.
Also before applying the XanthRemover bear in mind that the scabbing/peeling process may not look pretty for 7 to 10 days soon after the application, therefore it is better to plan ahead and ensure you do not have important upcoming events. Do not apply any makeup during the healing process.
Do not engage in dangerous or strenuous activities and do NOT WEAR ANY TYPE OF MAKE-UP during the peeling or scabbing process as this could jeopardize the peeling process, increase the chances of infections and therefore increase the risk of unnecessary complications including permanent scarring.
Apply total sun protection/sunscreen after the peeling has taken place up until three months you stopped applying the gel and you achieved the desired results. You must avoid any direct sun exposure for at least three months after the application of the gel. Failure to do so can lead to hyper- pigmentation as well as hypo-pigmentation.
Scars tissues may result due to the misuse in high grade cosmetic peels.
